Overview & Brand Concept

Visa’s VCS Sustainability Story was reimagined to distill complex environmental and commercial themes into a compelling, design-forward narrative. The visual system centered on overlapping geometric blocks using Visa’s core color palette, creating depth and interest through layered intersections. For Earth Day, a green accent was introduced, along with a hero image featuring a forest and body of water—used consistently across materials as a unifying, holistic visual anchor. The work highlighted Visa’s sustainability goals, product benefits, and ESG priorities (Environmental, Social, and Governance), resulting in a flexible suite of assets designed to scale across B2B communications.

  • The infographic is a single digital asset created to visually communicate Visa’s role in supporting B2B partners on their sustainability journey. Designed with a clean, modular layout and clear iconography, it leads the viewer through key ESG insights, a growth narrative, and actionable Visa solutions. Bold data visualizations and structured content blocks create an intuitive flow, from market opportunity to practical tools like the Visa Sustainability Index. The piece balances storytelling with utility, using layout, illustration, and typographic clarity to ensure engagement. Originally developed as part of the extended deck, it was supplemented by an editorial article to add contextual depth. For portfolio use, the design has been split vertically for better screen readability while maintaining cohesion across sections.

  • The Visa Sustainability Index (VSI) helps businesses measure carbon impact through transaction data, supporting ESG-focused decisions.

This carousel explores two design strategies. One builds direct visual consistency with the main deck, using branded blocks and environmental textures like water and canopy views to maintain continuity across channels. The second introduces a more expressive, emotionally driven approach, leveraging visuals tied to sustainability themes like energy transition and ecosystem resilience. The first supports unified branding, while the second broadens appeal by connecting to audience values and sustainability narratives through elevated visual cues.

  • This one-pager serves as a strategic entry point for B2B conversations around sustainability, offering a fast, easy-to-scan overview of how Visa’s core solution areas drive environmental impact. Designed for clarity and efficiency, it supports sales and partner engagement by presenting a credible, high-level narrative that helps decision-makers quickly grasp Visa’s role in advancing sustainable business practices.

The Visa Sustainability Messaging Framework is an expanded document that provides a strategic view of Visa’s sustainability approach, including key offerings, value propositions, and business outcomes. It articulates how Visa supports innovation, ESG alignment, and progress toward net zero, positioning sustainability as both a business driver and brand differentiator. Aligned with the broader visual system, it functions as a foundational marketing asset that helps teams engage purpose-driven audiences with clarity and consistency.
